Outside Machinist - Active ClearanceNSC Staffing is seeking experienced Cleared Outside Machinists to support ship maintenance and repair projects for local and non-local candidates in Norfolk, Virginia and Groton, CT. This role requires a Secret security clearance, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to meet Craftsman standards.Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard machinery and mechanical systems.Conduct testing and inspection of machinery during dock and sea trials.Collaborate with supervisors and project teams to maintain quality and safety standards.Qualifications:Secret clearance required.High school diploma, GED, or graduate of a relevant trade/military school.Minimum 6 years of experience as a Marine Equipment Mechanic or Journeyman.Proficient in hydraulic systems, machinery alignment, and vibration analysis.Familiarity with shipboard equipment such as propelling machinery, valves, pumps, and auxiliary systems.Must provide personal toolset (including wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.) Current OSHA-10, respirator medical screening, and DBID badge required.We believe in community service and resource stewardship, and we strive to enhance the quality of life for our employees.Apply now and advance your career with NSC Staffing — a leader in shipyard and industrial staffing.
