Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.
Job Description
The Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients with neurological diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients. The RN will demonstrate proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale and possess experience in telemetry nursing.
Responsibilities
Monitor and assess patient conditions in a designated stroke unit.
Utilize telemetry equipment to track and interpret electrocardiogram (ECG) readings.
Administer medications and perform nursing interventions based on patient needs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding neurological health and recovery plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Neuro nursing or telemetry nursing.
Current RN license (compact license required).
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS mandatory.
Experience with Epic charting system is required.
