ELECTRICIAN MAINTENANCE HOURLY

Locomotive Electrician - West Wareham, MA This role involves building and rebuilding locomotives and locomotive assemblies, working on electrical and pneumatic systems, and supporting customer needs.
Key Responsibilities Perform testing and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems.
Read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
Operate electrical test equipment.
Design basic electrical circuits.
Install electrical components and run/terminate wiring.
Cut, crimp, and install cabling; clean, sandblast, and paint old parts.
Disassemble and assemble locomotive parts and subassemblies.
Know and understand FRA rules (training provided).
Interact with customers and collaborate with coworkers.
Qualifications Five years of experience building and/or maintaining heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of locomotive maintenance and repair; Preferred experience with diesel engines, propulsion, pneumatics, and large‑industry sectors such as rail, agriculture, mining or marine.
Language skills: ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; solve problems involving concrete variables.
Work environment: exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles; exposure to heights and chemicals; Location & Travel West Wareham, MA (primary work site). Travel may be required depending on project needs.
