Loan Officer - Ag/ Commercial

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and authorize agricultural & commercial loan applications, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and collateral to assess borrower creditworthiness
• Business development which will consist of maintaining positive relationships with our current customers and fostering relationships, networking and community involvement in an effort to obtain new customers.
• Provide expert guidance on loan products, repayment options, and financial planning
• Monitor ongoing loan performance and conduct regular reviews to mitigate risk
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and documentation
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting agricultural/ commercial lending

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in agricultural and commercial lending
• Strong understanding of agricultural industry practices, credit analysis, and loan structuring
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to assess financial data and make sound lending decisions
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
