Registered Nurse Travel Job Telemetry Shift Nights

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. 750 referral bonus available.
RN - Tele
Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday for night shift)
• Rotating holidays including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Potential charge nurse responsibilities based on comfort level
• 20-bed telemetry unit with all private rooms
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 for telemetry patients
• Must have driver's license with address outside 50 miles from facility
• 5 years RN experience required
• Must have charge nurse experience
• Travel experience required (minimum 1+ year)
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Provide care for telemetry, post-catheterization, medical/surgical with telemetry monitoring, and respiratory difficulty patients
• Point of care blood glucose testing using AccuChek glucometer
• IV placement and lab draws from central lines when ordered
• Basic dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry strip verification
• Navy blue scrubs required (provided by nurse)
• Floating may occur to comparable or lower level units
• 3-shift orientation process (education, shadowing, then independent)
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for shorter assignments

The facility features modern technology including hardwired and portable telemetry monitoring systems, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy services, and unit-based pharmacy support.
