About the Position

Registered Nurse – PCU / Stepdown

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit setting
Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of care than general medical-surgical but below intensive care
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown unit
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
