As RN in the Emergency Department (ED), you will help patients feel comfortable, at ease and supported while receiving treatment. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life‑saving treatment. On this team, you will have numerous opportunities to explore educational development courses and advance the Professional Ladder at Cleveland Clinic.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting, and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.

A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts.
Provide direct nursing care.

Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.

Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

External candidates: two years of recent related nursing experience

Licensed military RN experience will be considered

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department.

Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
