Millions of people worldwide rely on our leading brands, including Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure, and Glucerna, to get the nutrients they need to live healthier lives.Training and career development opportunities, including onboarding programs for new employees and tuition assistanceCompetitive compensation and incentive programsComprehensive health and well-being benefits, including medical, dental, vision, wellness, and occupational health programsPaid time off401(k) retirement savings plan with a generous company matchThe stability of a financially strong company with a long history of community involvementLearn more about the benefits that add real value to your life and help you live fully: You'll DoThe Packaging Operations group is responsible for providing technical expertise in packaging and packaging performance for products manufactured within Abbott Nutrition.Providing technical leadership across Abbott manufacturing, supply chain, and packaging engineering organizationsServing as a recognized subject matter expert in packaging materials, equipment, and best practices for establishing and maintaining supply with approved vendorsActing as the Technical Lead and/or Project Lead for significant technology transfer and process improvement initiativesProviding operational support to plant teams, third-party manufacturing partners, and vendor performance initiativesLeading investigations, conducting root cause analyses, and developing solutions to technical issues affecting vendor performance and manufacturing operationsEvaluating new and existing vendor capabilities related to packaging manufacturing processes and identifying strategies to ensure supply chain continuity and successEnsuring adherence to technical best practices and regulatory compliance requirementsProviding ongoing technical support to Abbott Nutrition manufacturing sites, including metrics review, investigations, root cause analysis, and process improvement activitiesImplementing Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives as neededMaintaining knowledge of global regulatory requirements related to the design and control of packaging processesSupporting Global Abbott Nutrition Operations as requiredApplying expertise in rigid plastic packaging technologies, including blow molding, injection-blow molding, PET packaging, barrier materials, and multi-layer bottle structuresWhat You'll BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or another related technical discipline, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant industry roleFluency in English with the ability to communicate effectively in technical environmentsSubject Matter Expert-level knowledge of packaging processesStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skillsDemonstrated success in technical leadership and project managementProven ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organizationRecognized technical leadership within a professional environmentPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in packaging engineering with an emphasis on rigid plastics and bottle molding technologiesKnowledge of blow molding, injection-blow molding, PET packaging, barrier materials, and multi-layer bottle structuresExperience supporting manufacturing operations and global supply chain initiativesThe base pay for this position is $78,000.00 - $156,000.00.
