Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Join Mercy’s Spine & Pain Management team and play a vital role in delivering specialized, patient-centered care. This opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment where you’ll support advanced pain management treatments and make a meaningful impact on patients’ quality of life.
Prepare and assess patients, including pain evaluations, vitals, and medical history
Assist providers with spine and pain management procedures and treatments
support IV therapy as needed
Coordinate care, including follow-ups, referrals, and patient education
Support a safe, efficient clinic environment and assist with lab/testing as needed
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.
Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data. Equipment Used: Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic.
