Health Care Front Desk Receptionist

The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. The Receptionist 1 ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with several administrative tasks. The Receptionist welcomes patients and offers administrative support within a physician practice or center. Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors professionally, both in person and over the phone.

Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to increase schedules.

Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.

Administrative Support: Help with other administrative tasks as needed, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.

The supervisor limits decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and manages works closely and/or within established policies and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

High School Diploma or GED

• 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM (Mondays - Fridays)
