Purchasing Specialist - Industrial Wholesale
$Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - Permanent Opportunity

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory levels and ensuring product availability to support customer demand and sales objectives.
This role serves as a key liaison between vendors, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to manage purchasing activities, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate inventory and supplier data.
Create and manage purchase orders, including pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock based on min/max planning requirements.
Set up and maintain part numbers, supplier records, and inventory parameters within the system.
Follow up with vendors on order status, pricing updates, and delivery commitments.
Partner with customer service to provide updates on product availability and backordered items.
Work closely with warehouse and receiving teams on inventory issues, bin changes, new products, and vendor returns.
Update purchasing systems with vendor confirmations, shipment information, and pricing changes.
Process inventory adjustments and return-to-vendor transactions.
Track, document, and elevate supplier performance issues.
Support vendor scorecard reporting and quarterly performance reviews.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support purchasing and inventory processes.
Identify and resolve purchasing, inventory, and supplier-related issues in a timely manner.
2-5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field preferred
Ability to use Outlook and Excel fluently
Excellent project management skills
