Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a teaching hospital setting requiring scrub and circulate skills across multiple surgical specialties.

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Handles Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) and Craniotomy procedures
• Handles Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS)
• Handles Plastic Surgery, Dental Surgery, and combined Neurosurgery/OHNS procedures
• Performs open and endoscopic surgical cases including free flap reconstructive procedures
• Scrub and circulate duties required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license in hand required
• BSN required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

Perform scrub and circulate duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, cardiovascular, general surgery, endoscopic, robotics, urology, ENT, bariatrics, transplant, thoracic, and podiatry procedures
Utilizes specialized equipment including cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and none permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
