Emergency Room Travel RN

This position is for a Travel RN in the Emergency Room. The role requires expertise in emergency care and patient management. The unit has a total of 39 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Staffing includes one unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor. Equipment includes crash carts, level one, Alaris pumps, and bedside cardiac monitors. Scheduling is done four weeks in advance with preferences for three 12-hour shifts per week. There may be floating requirements to the ER hold unit when at capacity. Patient rounding and bedside shift reports are conducted 30 minutes to 1 hour. Advanced skills needed include assisting in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures. Procedures performed on this unit include chest tubes, moderate sedation, laceration repair, and blood products. Unit specific guidelines and policies will be provided upon hiring.
