Mechanical Engineering Senior

We have partnered with a large engineering services company in the Atlanta, GA area to provide them with a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Active Mechanical PE
• 3. 10 15 years consulting engineering experience
• HVAC and plumbing system design
• AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software

Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
The client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a ten to fifteen years of experience. This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engineering for a variety of projects involving HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and coordinating multifaceted projects. We are seeking innovative, results-oriented individuals who value high standards of performance and collaborative teamwork.

Design of HVAC and plumbing systems
Manage and design multiple concurrent projects
Manage project team for budget and schedule control
Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
Reading and preparing project drawings including ductwork plans, piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials.
Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs
Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

Requirements of the Senior Electrical Engineer:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering (required)
• Candidates with experience in the local AEC consulting market are preferred, given the value of regional codes, client familiarity, and project context.
• Experience with Load Calculation Software
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Project Management experience and/or certifications
• Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
• Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
• Active local industry involvement is a plus
