Nursing - Travel Dialysis RN

Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Avon, Indiana.

Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Indiana residents are not accepted.
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) experience required.
Travel experience not required.
Cerner experience preferred.
Must be able to float to other Med/Surg units and Observation Unit (no floating to other facilities).
Every other weekend requirement.

This Registered Nurse position is for a 26-bed adult Medical Surgical unit at IU Health. The RN will provide care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including stroke, CHF, dementia/delirium, cellulitis, COPD, psychiatric conditions, withdrawal, end-of-life care, COVID, and dialysis patients.
Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, insulin protocols, respiratory support including HFNC and nasal cannula care, and maintaining infection prevention standards.
The unit operates with a staffing ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights . The RN will work alongside PCAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, social services, and interpretation services.
