Every day, you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. Identifies and reports patient abuse and neglect i.e.: physical assault, domestic abuse and neglect of elders and children.Assists Therapy Manager/Supervisor in annual performance reviews of therapy assistants and aides and works to assist these team members in improving job performance.Accurately identifies patient's functional deficits/dysfunction through review of the medical record, through observation of the patient, through information obtained from the patient/family, and through manual muscle testing, range of motion testing, postural analysis, functional analysis and other physical therapy assessment techniques. Accurately interprets the physician's order.Effectively communicates with other members of the health-care team regarding goals, progress and rehab potential. Attends any necessary and appropriate patient care meetings, such as mini rounds, weekly patient care conference, weekly NICU discharge meetings, etc.Presents at least one departmental or hospital in-service per year. Keeps abreast of current trends and other developments in Rehabilitation as evidenced by participation and attendance of in-services, continuing education courses, and current professional publications.
