Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30) with occasional 11:00 - 11:30 PM shifts as needed. Up to every other weekend and holiday coverage required. No call.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide care in our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience and a commitment to patient care across a diverse patient population, addressing a variety of medical emergencies.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care in areas including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and responses.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective treatment plans.
Participate in patient and family education regarding health management.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers welcome.
Active RN license required at the time of submission.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS.
Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
Previous experience in a STEMI and Stroke certified facility preferred.
