DR: We're looking for a founding recruiter to build the team that builds Ropes, hiring the engineers, sellers, and operators who will transform how the $4T+ contingent workforce industry.
About Ropes Ropes is building a new way for companies to hire talent, starting with anti-fraud technology and better skill-based interviews. We help staffing and recruiting firms fight fraud, identify top talent, and confidently market that talent to Fortune 500 companies and the top employers in the world.
We're a team of 10 from Penn, Stanford, Waterloo, Retool, MongoDB, and top tech companies with seed-stage headcount and Series A-type metrics
3.1M seed round led by GSV Ventures & Boxgroup with angels from OpenAI, SpaceX, Retool, and more
Traction: We've flown past 7 figures in revenue, with dozens of enterprise staffing customers including the largest staffing firm in the world
Our customers are the premier firms of the $600B+ staffing industry. What You'll Do: Own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, GTM, and operations, from sourcing through close
Build our hiring infrastructure from scratch: interview processes, scorecards, pipeline tracking, and employer brand
Source and close exceptional technical and commercial talent in one of the most competitive hiring markets in the world
Who You Are: You're more interested in building a company's foundation than filling reqs at scale
You have 2 to 5 years of experience in technical recruiting or talent acquisition at an early-stage or growth-stage B2B software company
You've hired engineers and know how to evaluate technical talent, speak credibly with candidates about the stack, and sell a vision when the company is still small
You build pipeline through outbound, referrals, events, and creative channels
You've operated in an environment where recruiting wasn't a department. You'll hire the people who define what Ropes becomes. Ownership: This isn't a role where you execute a hiring plan someone else wrote. You're not just recruiting for a hiring platform. Your recruiting experience will directly inform how we build the product
This is an on-site role in New York City, designed for recruiters who want to build a team from scratch and have a lasting impact on the company they help create.
Ropes leverages AI for advanced fraud detection and skills assessment, ensuring candidate authenticity and skill verification through custom assessments and detailed scorecards for enhanced staffing outcomes.
