Diagnostic Radiographer - Radiology - Full Time -

The Registered Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.

Shift Details

Full‑time (36 hours per week). Thursday/Friday/Saturday 9:00 am – 9:30 pm.

Location

Platte Valley Hospital, Brighton, Colorado.

Responsibilities

Produce x‑ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films.

Position and instruct patients regarding x‑ray procedures.

Perform x‑ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.

Process films for radiologists' reading/interpretation following established procedures.

Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in person and via telephone.

Maintain x‑ray and other imaging equipment in efficient operating order; perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis and contact outside service for major malfunctions according to established guidelines.

Promote effective working relations and work as part of a department/unit team inter‑ and intra‑departmentally to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Current license/certification in the state of practice.

Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.

Minimum of 2 years of radiology technologist experience (for Radiology Tech II).

Preferred Qualifications

At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience.

Experience performing portable x‑ray procedures in an emergency department setting.

Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi‑functional team.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $29.14 – $44.94 (actual rate depends on experience).
