RN Telemetry Weekend Shift

Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a telemetry and medical-surgical capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience and be prepared to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.Unit InformationUnit Type: Telemetry and Medical-SurgicalBed Capacity: Various units with the following specializations:7th Floor: Surgical unit (36 beds)8BC: Long-term low acuity (17 beds)9th Floor: General medical cases (38 beds)2 South: Short stay and cardiac (41 beds)3 South: Neuro unit (33 beds)4 South: Ortho and spine (21 beds)ResponsibilitiesProvide care to patients on telemetry and medical-surgical units.Conduct accurate assessment and monitoring of patient conditions.Administer medication and titrate drips as per established guidelines.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in unit-specific orientation and training.Be flexible to float between units based on patient care needs.Required QualificationsActive BLS Certification.Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Strong critical thinking and communication skills.Work ScheduleFull-time, 12-hour shifts.Every other weekend requirement.Holiday availability required during winter holidays.Floating RequirementsCandidates will be required to float between all medical-surgical and telemetry divisions, including various specialized units.Patient Care and SafetyMaintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (4-5 patients per RN).Caretaking support from certified nursing assistants (CNA) with a ratio of 8-11 patients per CNA.Engage in patient safety protocols and emergency response as needed.Additional NotesOrientation will consist of dedicated training hours across various units.
