Carpenter/demolition/framing

Our client, a commercial property and multi-family restoration company, is seeking to hire a Carpenter to their team in Milwaukee, WI . This is a direct hire position with 1st shift hours 7:30-4:00pm Monday - Friday . This position will pay $28-$38+/hour depending on relevant experience and will include a full benefits package of health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and a 401k match.
The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work in the repair, restoration, and preservation of commercial and residential properties damaged by water, fire, vehicle impact, and other building disasters. This role requires consistent use of high-level carpentry techniques, adherence to safety standards, effective time management, and the ability to handle emergency on-call duties with professionalism and efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
Perform carpentry tasks (rough in & finish), including but not limited to demolition framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, millwork installation, and exterior finishes.
Identify and use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for various carpenter tasks.
Apply carpentry techniques to address structural damage.
Ensure all work adheres to a high level of craftsmanship and meets company quality standards.
Complete restoration tasks within established timeframes, managing priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
Provide clear and timely updates to relevant supervisors and production members about project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Document work performed, including photos, notes, and material usage.
Participate in company-provided training sessions - Capitalize on learning opportunities to improve carpentry and restoration skills.
Stay informed about advancements in restoration technologies and tools.
Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Adhere to Company safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of tools and equipment to confirm safe operation.
Report and document damage of client and company property in a timely manner.
On-Call Duty Performance
Respond promptly to emergency calls when directed.
Participate in mitigation activities including but not limited to water and fire mitigation, demolition, and cleanup.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, from 50-100 lbs., 5+ years of experience in carpentry including rough in carpentry (framing walls, floors, ceilings, and roof trusses) as well as finish carpentry (installing baseboards, crown molding, doors, window casings, and cabinetry.)
~ Technology/Equipment : Carpenters are required to bring the following tools with them: Smart Cellular Telephone with Data Plan, Hand Tools, and Power Tools.
