Registered Dietitian

The Registered Dietitian is a member of the interdisciplinary health team and provides medical nutrition services and nutrition counseling in a primary care practice setting. Evaluate nutritional status of individuals and provide nutrition counseling and consulting to individuals, as well as collaborating with health professionals within the organization.

Study and analyze current scientific nutritional studies to assist in developing standards, guides for use in Blue Ridge Community Health Services.

Plan, evaluate and conduct nutrition education programs and develop educational materials for various audiences and at all BRCHS sites.

Responsible for supporting organizational mission and goal achievement, organization quality goals, and providing safe, patient-center care.

Bachelor's Degree in nutrition required or equivalent Bachelor's in a related field from an accredited school.

RD: Currently a Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)

One to two years of supervised training and experience working as a Registered Dietitian.

Experience in working in ambulatory care setting

Bilingual preferred, but not required.
