Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Weekend Only Shift

ED RN – Emergency Department
Shift: 3x12 Days (07:00–19:30) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required Travel experience required Previous charge experience preferred Must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently
Certifications:

BLS (required)
ACLS (required)
PALS (required)
TNCC (strongly preferred)
Experience with EPIC required Key clinical skills:

Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Airway management/intubation and care of ventilated patients
IV/central line management, IV vasopressors, blood product administration
Procedural sedation, chest tube/trauma care, splinting/ortho trauma
Triage, behavioral/psychiatric patient management, pediatric and adult emergency care
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan in the Emergency Department. Conduct initial patient assessments, including triage, and prioritize care based on urgency. Administer medications and treatments as per protocol and provide patient education. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes. Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment using electronic medical records. Assist in emergency procedures and support advanced life support interventions as needed.
Local radius: Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible. Licensure: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted. Attendance policy: More than one call-off may result in termination; no-call no-shows will incur immediate termination. Pre-approved time off: Typically limited; two pre-approved days maximum during contract; no RTO during initial weeks. Parking: Free in unrestricted areas (no pass required).
