Registered Nurse - Mental Health - Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a contract opportunity on a day shift schedule (4x10s). This role is responsible for delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care, including patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in the operating room setting. The OR RN will also support unit operations, supervise delegated staff, and ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across all phases of surgical procedures

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in the operating room

Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with surgical protocols and safety standards

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures

Supervise and delegate tasks to surgical team members appropriately

Ensure proper utilization of staff, supplies, and resources within the unit

Adhere to regulatory standards, infection control guidelines, and patient safety protocols

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practices

Support staff competency, training, and adherence to clinical standards

Uphold professional, ethical, and patient-centered care standards

Associate Degree in Nursing required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience

Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation

Ability to supervise and delegate effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment

Attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile field

Shift is 10 hrs/day (06:30 AM – 05:00 PM), 40 hrs/week

50 miles of radius restrictions (Locals not accepted)
