Registered Nurse - mental health (full-time)

Major Function
Provides nursing services to patients requiring care. Ability to assess the physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients. Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care based on those assessments. Capable of delegating appropriate tasks and supervising ancillary staff.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. BSN or MSN graduates preferred.

Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:

Hired on or before May 31, 2013 - IMC

Hired on or before August 4, 2015 - IMCW

Hired on or before May 31, 2023 - IMCM

Previous experience in psychiatry.

Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing preferable, but not essential.

Certification / Licensure

Current registration with New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Welle certification required (will train).

BLS required.

National Certification preferred.

American Heart Association CPR required.

Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrates clinical knowledge, nursing competence, basic leadership skills and decision‑making ability.
