Emergency Room Full Time Night Nurse

This is a full-time position with a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The competent Nurse in the Emergency Department provides routine and complex care, demonstrating the ability to manage clinical situations independently while being aware of all relevant aspects. This position involves extensive patient interaction in a fast-paced environment, including treating trauma and critical care cases, as well as managing pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.

Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.

Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately and timely.

Assess learning needs and provide education and resources to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (AHA only).

Current RN license in the state of Texas or compact.
