Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing, and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver, preferred but not necessary. You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home. Responsibilities: • Travel with patients to health care service providers, doctors’ offices, grocery stores, or for other errands, as needed • Supervise medications and assist patient in organizing, refilling, and taking medications, as well as meal planning and preparation • Maintain psychological and emotional support for patients and family members - provide quality companionship • Perform light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to bed making, laundry, vacuuming, etc. • Implement care plans as directed by the case manager, and keep updated and accurate care records • Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake • Resident Response: Attend to resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care • Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space • Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards • Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks Qualifications: • Pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical, and possess current CPR certification and first aid training • Over one year of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA/ home health aide, personal care aid, or nursing assistant for a home health agency, at patient homes, or care facilities settings is vital • Possess a valid state driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, you may also be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed Some skills expected- • Ability to lift 35 pds • Assist with resident ADLs as directed by the client service plan • Administration of medication as directed by an RN • Answer client call lights • Housekeeping in residents' rooms as scheduled • Charting of all services performed • Extreme Ownership: Possesses a strong, genuine dedication to serving and caring for vulnerable adults. • Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
