Salary: $121.00 USD per hour - $166.00 USD per hour

We are seeking a Physician/MD/DO to deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of NVIH patients at our Chico East Avenue clinic location. Provide direct medical services to program patients.

Assist in establishing, reviewing, and revising Medical Department protocols, policies, and procedures.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with ancillary medical, laboratory, and pharmaceutical services within the community.

Evaluate patients with complex problems and refer to appropriate specialists if the problem cannot be treated in‑house.

Work with other Medical Clinic personnel to provide ongoing health education and information on preventative medicine.

Assist Clinical staff in quality assurance and peer review.

Obtain necessary continuing medical education credits, with a significant portion relevant to Indian Health issues.

Keep medical licensure, DEA registration, and CPR certification current.

Maintain the standards of patient care and implement the policies and procedures of the Medical Department.

Communicate problems involving personnel, medical staff, patients, families, and the public to the Clinic Manager.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.

Licensed California Physician (Board Certified in Family Practice preferred).

At least two (2) years of clinical experience in direct delivery of primary care.

Sensitive to Indian culture and health needs.

Current DEA registration.
