Mechanical/Project Engineer
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical/Project Engineer to support the design, manufacturing, and execution of custom engineered equipment projects in Houma, LA. This individual will review and interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings, and project requirements while supporting equipment design, engineering calculations, and technical documentation. Responsibilities include creating and revising drawings and bills of materials, performing design analysis, coordinating with manufacturing and operations teams, assisting with material selection, supporting testing and quality initiatives, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with customer requirements, industry standards, and project schedules. The engineer will collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while supporting continuous improvement efforts across design and manufacturing processes. Salary range is between $75,000-$80,000 depending on level of experience to be determined by hiring team.
Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
0-3 years of engineering experience (internships and co-ops considered)
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
Proficiency with CAD software
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, heavy equipment, offshore, or oil & gas industries
Familiarity with MathCAD, ANSYS, FEA, or other engineering analysis tools
Experience with ERP systems
Exposure to welding, machining, fabrication, or pressure-containing equipment
Experience supporting projects from design through manufacturing and delivery
