Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN for a hospital float pool position requiring NC or compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based Inpatient Float Pool ICU position
• Float coverage across Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center ICUs, with occasional stepdown unit assignments
• Patient ratios generally 1:1 to 1:3 depending on unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours each, totaling 36 hours weekly
• Block weekend scheduling available
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required

BLS certification required

ACLS certification required

NIHSS certification required

Minimum one year of nursing experience required

Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required

BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards within a hospital setting

Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process across multiple ICU specialties

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

Performs bedside point of care testing as needed

Participates in patient and family education, discharge planning, and performance improvement activities

Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director
