Child Development Center - Fall 2026 - Student Worker / Federal Work Study
This Student Worker position at Danville Area Community College is designed for students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. The role supports the Child Development Center’s mission to provide an excellent learning environment for children.
Accountability Objective

Responsibilities
Assist the teacher with weekly lesson plans.
Support children during classroom activities and provide a safe, engaging environment.
Follow directions and maintain a positive attitude toward working with children.
Required Qualifications
Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
Eligible for the Federal Work Study program (qualification determined by the Financial Aid Department).
Desired Qualifications
Successfully pass an Illinois Department of Child & Family Services (DCFS) background screening.
Strong desire and ability to interact with children.
Ability to take direction and collaborate with teachers.
Compensation
$16.00 per hour. Pay is for either full‑time or part‑time hours as needed.
