Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing daily technical and process support in a designated area within the Operations Department.

Process/equipment troubleshooting (including process control systems) to improve batch quality and assistance with cost reduction, process reliability and quality improvement programs.

Testing new and existing production procedures

Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources

Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance

Resolve issues and delays in production

Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers

Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations

Expectation is that a successful applicant will develop skill sets and work on small scale capital projects.

Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Works with in-house maintenance and outside contractors to facilitate repairs & improvements.

Analyzes and plans space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field required.

• 3+ years' experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role preferred.
• Must be organized to effectively work multiple projects required.
• Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
