Medical Laboratory Scientist 1

Inova’s Central Lab is looking for a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist 1 to
join their Microbiology team! This position will be Full-Time Night Shift:
Monday-Friday, Every Other Weekend

Medical Laboratory Scientist 1 Job Responsibilities:

* The Medical Laboratory Scientist 1 ensures quality specimens for Laboratory
testing by recognizing pre-analytical factors that adversely affect patient
Operates systems/methodologies to produce timely and accurate data for
patients, quality control and proficiency testing.

• knowledge and adhering to regulatory standards.
• Participates in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team

job performance and foster working relationships.
* Education- Bachelor’s degree in science from a college/university recognized
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university in any
Science with 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) in biology including one
semester in microbiology and 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) in
chemistry including one semester in organic or biochemistry, which may be
S. military medical
laboratory training course within the last ten years·

* Clinical Laboratory Science accredited Medical Lab Scientist program or
Accredited Bureau of Health Education Schools accredited Medical Lab
full time acceptable clinical experience.

* Medical Technologist (MT)
, Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Medical Lab Technician (MLT), Technologist
Blood Banking (BB), SBB, Technologist Chemistry (C),Technologist Hematology
(H), Technologist in Microbiology (M), Specialist in Hematology (SH),
Specialist in Cytotechnology (SCT), Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB),
Specialist in Microbiology (SMB), Specialist in Microbiology (SM), Specialist
in Chemistry (SC), Clinical Laboratory Technologist (HEW),International
