Entry Level Cad Operator PositionM/E Engineering is interviewing for an entry level CAD Operator position in our Rochester, NY office. M/E Engineering is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.ResponsibilitiesPerforms assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques, and procedures in carrying out computer aided design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tasks.Exercises judgment required in details of work and in making preliminary selections and adoptions of drawing layouts, standard details, symbols and procedures.Performs work assigned by BIM Lead under supervision and training.Assists engineers with Revit issues, reports unfamiliar problems to BIM Lead for solutions.Takes calls from coworkers on Microsoft Teams with camera on.Leads BIM coordination meetings with architects and engineers, determines project setup requirements.Creates Revit projects on ACC, cleans and links AutoCAD drawings, adds required team members.Builds knowledge base in order to solve common Revit, Navisworks, ACC and AutoCAD issues.Copies, creates, and maintains detail libraries in Revit and PDF.Assist with conventional designs, investigations, and surveys for which there are standard procedures.Applies standard practices and techniques, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies and follows design through a series of related steps.If assigned BIM/CAD Coordinator duties, the following is required:Works with BIM/CAD Coordinator from Architect and other sub-consultants to determine deliverable requirements.Updates REVIT Model and CAD Backgrounds, then notifies design teamCoordinates and oversees deliverables.
