Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107 all private bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility. From emergent to elective, our facility offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including those offered at the New Beginnings Birthing Center, the Advanced Healing Wound Care Center and our accredited chest pain center.

Examines and treats patients with breathing-related conditions, performs diagnostic testing, and collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans. Provides patient education on therapies and medication use; performs physiotherapy and related treatments. Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer; Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.

Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.

Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness.

Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment.

Participates in performance improvement and required education.

Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of practice

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments.

Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems. Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
