Graduate Nurse Emergency Room (Nights)

Emergency Department Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position with a guaranteed 36-hour week.
Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM.
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will have critical care experience and demonstrate strong leadership skills, enabling effective prioritization and delegation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Assess and identify patient needs, providing quality care tailored to individual clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
Recognize and intervene in life-threatening situations.
Function effectively in stressful situations, applying strong problem-solving skills.
Ensure patient safety and the proper use of lifts and equipment for safe patient handling.
Might assume duties as a charge nurse.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current New York State RN license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Experience with MEDITECH is mandatory
Proven travel experience is required
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and defibrillation certification within six months of employment
Critical Care and charge nurse experience preferred
