Hairstylist and barber position

Company Description Roots Salon & Barbershack is a locally rooted salon and barbershop located at 4078 Clark Ave in Willoughby, Ohio. Team members work closely with clients to provide personalized styles and consistent service quality. Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a Hairstylist based in Willoughby, OH at Roots Salon & Barbershack. The Hairstylist will consult with clients to understand their preferences and provide haircuts, styling, coloring, and basic treatments aligned with salon standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing workstations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of tools and surfaces, and managing appointment flow. The Hairstylist will also handle basic customer service tasks such as greeting clients, managing wait times, and supporting a friendly, professional atmosphere.
Qualifications Strong Hair Styling and Hair Care skills, including cutting, styling, and basic treatments.
Foundational Cosmetology knowledge and adherence to state cosmetology and sanitation regulations.
Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to build rapport and provide clear consultations.
Valid cosmetology or barber license in the state of Ohio.
Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple appointments efficiently.
Experience in a salon or barbershop setting is preferred.
Professional appearance, reliable time management, and willingness to follow salon policies and procedures.
