Obtains initial database and provides for further data collection including biopsychosocial assessment and history and physical exam as directed by the physician.

Consults with the physician and/or Director regarding treatment decisions, release of information and subpoenas.

Makes referrals to community agencies to ensure continuity of care, while at all times maintaining confidentiality of the client.

Maintains privacy of all client information by securely storing any paper documents at the end of each day.

Effectively promotes Clinical Psychiatry and Clinical Counseling Department in a positive manner. Supports the goals and mission of JCMH and displays a positive attitude toward the hospital to the public.

Interacts with physicians, other staff members, clients and their families in a professional, cooperative and courteous manner.

Develops and maintains a positive, professional working relationship with other community agencies.

Wears hospital identification while on duty.

Performs other duties as assigned by the physician and supports his/her directives.

Demonstrated ability to provide quality treatment in a cost effective manner.

Education/Regulatory Requirements:

Current Oklahoma licensure as a nurse practitioner with certification in the area of mental health.

Applicable and recent documented experience (may be a part of Nurse Practitioner education).

Two years experience in a mental health setting preferred.

Demonstrated ability to provide quality treatment in a cost effective manner.

Near visual & hearing acuity required to perform essential duties of position.
