Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a Physician/Advanced Practice Provider team in accordance with the designated specialty. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.
Provides clinical care for patients
Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
Refers for specialty care when determined.
Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.

Participates in health care team
Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
Works with primary care team for program development.
Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty.

~ Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program

New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU

Licensed Physician Assistant or Licensed Nurse Practitioner - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
Certification as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
