Job Description:
Provide nursing care in a Med Surg Neuro unit, including the management of patients with conditions such as strokes, stable neurological deficits, post-neurosurgery procedures, and other Med Surg/Telemetry cases. Ensure high standards of patient care while adhering to hospital policies.
Responsibilities:

Administer medications including titratable drips like Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine
Monitor patients using PCA pumps and assist with floating to other medical surgical areas as necessary
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required
Interpret telemetry readings with the assistance of Tele Techs
Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting system
Requirements:

Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
Pass/Fail exam during orientation with a requirement of 90%
Compliance with fingernail policy and radius rule
Valid driver's license required for submission
Prefer travel experience; no license or background hits
