Barista - Flexible Shifts Part-Time

Graduate by Hilton Bloomington is seeking a Barista to join Poindexter Coffee to support daily café operations and deliver a consistent, welcoming experience for our guests.
Compensation:
Barista shifts: $10.50/hour + pooled tips
Banquet serving shifts (as assigned): $16.00/hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests andneeds
Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drinkmenu
Sells coffees and coffeeby explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipmentoperates
Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffeebar
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffeebar
Other duties assigned
Assist Banquets & Catering as a banquet server when necessary.
Bus and set tables, including condiments as needed
Prepare room for events: set tablecloths, dishes, silverware as needed
Assist in cleaning and organizing at the completion of an event
Serve guests food and drinks during event as required
Follow directions as detailed from Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager

Education & Experience
High School Diploma/GED
Prior Barista and/or Food Service experience preferred but not required
