Travel Nurse Job Details
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600

Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 6:00 p.m.–Schedule: Alternating 36- and 48-hour weeks, typically 3 or 4 night shifts per week; Unit: LDRP unit with four labor and delivery rooms, triage, and a well-baby nursery

Charting: Recent Cerner EMR experience required

Every-other-weekend coverage and holiday coverage may be required. Any requested time off must be submitted with the initial application.

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience

Current New Mexico RN license or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission

Recent Cerner charting experience

Ability to care for laboring patients, postpartum patients, and neonates in an LDRP setting

Willingness to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliated facility when required

Travel candidates only; Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care

Assist with deliveries and provide immediate care and assessment for newborns

Care for patients in labor and delivery rooms, triage, and the well-baby nursery

Support patient education, family-centered care, and discharge planning

Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team

Float to other hospital departments or an affiliated facility as needed and in accordance with applicable policies
