Job Details Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN) Location: Harvey, Illinois Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: September 14, 2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,470 - $1,550 Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) Hours Per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Required Charting System: Epic Patient Ratio: 1:6 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Active Illinois RN license in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS preferred Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients Comfortable working in a float pool environment Strong skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and tracheostomy care/management Ability to provide care in a high-acuity, team-oriented setting Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Support tracheostomy care and management as part of routine nursing duties Administer treatments and medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate patient updates effectively Adapt quickly to floating assignments while maintaining a high standard of care Apply now to join this rewarding Chicago-area Med/Surg RN travel nursing opportunity in Harvey, Illinois!
