As a member of Garver's Buildings Team, the Structural Engineer will develop structural designs and documentation for various projects within the Buildings Business Line . Responsibilities include structural analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for multiple structural systems, including:

Reinforced Concrete

Reinforced masonry

Structural Wood

Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing.

Perform construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, conducting site observations, and preparing reports.

Utilize BIM design software to produce structural drawings.

Assist project managers and follow QA/QC plans.

Continue education and learning based on project and team needs.

Assign and coordinate tasks with engineers-in-training and BIM professionals.

Collaborate with architects and contractors.

Minimum of 3 years of professional structural engineering experience.

Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.

Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.

Master’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.

Experience with Autodesk Revit and Construction Cloud.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Working knowledge of US building codes and structural design standards.
