Head of Project Management (Construction)

Role Description The Project Manager role at BOI, LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Des Moines, IA. The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Daily responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, managing resources, monitoring progress, and addressing risks or issues that may impact timelines or quality. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, field crews, customers, and vendors to align expectations, maintain clear communication, and uphold safety and compliance standards. The Project Manager also prepares reports, tracks project performance using relevant tools and data, and supports continuous improvement in processes and customer experience.

Strong Project Management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.

Experience with Expeditor and Expediting functions to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation.

Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control to verify work meets specifications and compliance requirements.

Logistics Management skills to oversee the movement of resources, crews, and equipment across project sites.

Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure, construction, telecom, or utility projects is preferred.

Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and project plans.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions.

Proficiency with project management software and standard office applications.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Commitment to safety practices and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
