The company is currently seeking an experienced Cost Accountant.
Cost Accountant I
Reporting to the Manager of Cost Accounting, as a part of a cross functional Team, this person supports forecasting, cost and project accounting responsibilities.
Daily processing of contract orders and changes
Monthly review and forecasting of less complex projects and other short cycle orders
Maintain project budgets and revenue recognition in ERP systems
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures (JSOX)
Testing and implementation of special projects as required
Meet regularly with Operations personnel to gage project financial performance
Publish various managerial accounting reports
Process improvement
English Language
Basic knowledge of cost and US GAAP accounting principles
Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel)
Analytical ability as it pertains to understanding and explaining manufacturing variances as well as other types of analysis.
Monitoring - monitoring/assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines. Hands-on style and able to work with minimal supervision. BS degree in accounting, finance or related field and / or equivalent experience in a cost accounting role in a manufacturing and /or Engineer-to-order environment.
Experience with SAP a plus
