Paralegal to support deal structuring and contract negotiations within our Acquisitions department. This is an execution‑focused role for someone with deep commercial real estate transaction experience who can draft, review, and negotiate PSAs while supporting the legal aspects of deal execution.
You’ll prepare and negotiate Purchase and Sale Agreements, support deal structuring, coordinate contract documentation, and work closely with our future General Counsel to protect Custom Capital’s interests. This role reports to the Director of Acquisitions and offers advancement opportunities as the legal function scales.
Draft & Negotiate PSAs: Prepare Purchase and Sale Agreements for property acquisitions. Support Deal Structuring: Work with the Acquisitions team on deal structures—including Custom Capital’s unique 3‑leg transaction model. Prepare LOIs: Draft Letters of Intent that accurately reflect deal terms and position Custom Capital for successful negotiations.
Manage Contract Documentation: Maintain organized files for all transaction documents. Work with outside attorneys on complex legal matters. Manage relationships with title companies and other legal service providers.
Monitor contract timelines, contingency periods, and critical dates. 5–8 years as a paralegal or legal professional in commercial real estate, with direct experience drafting and negotiating PSAs. You understand commercial real estate contracts, common terms, and negotiation dynamics. Experience on the buy‑side or with investment acquisitions is ideal.
- Contract drafting proficiency: You can prepare PSAs, LOIs, and related documents from scratch and negotiate modifications effectively.
- Lease analysis experience: Familiarity with NNN lease structures, assignment provisions, and tenant obligations.
- Contract errors are expensive. com, DocuSign, and document management systems.
Excel at legal execution: You take pride in well‑drafted contracts and smooth transactions.
