Job Opportunity
Position: Registered Nurse (Charge RN) - NICU
Location: Irving, TX
Shift Details
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Workdays: 3 rotating 12-hour night shifts
Unit Highlights
This position is for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Candidates must be willing to take on Charge RN responsibilities.
Special Skills and Experience Required
Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience
Experience caring for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation
Experience with central lines, stabilization, and attending deliveries
Ability to provide developmental care
Required Certifications
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
STABLE Certification
Current RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
Preferred Qualifications
~ Experience with Meditech documentation system

Unit Specifics
Type of Equipment: GE Bedside Monitors, GE beds (Giraffe and Panda Warmers), Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, Neomed and Medfusion Feeding/Medication pumps
Procedures Performed: Assist with line placement, circumcision, and intubation
Patient Experience
Family-centered care is a priority in this unit.
Dress Code
Required attire includes:
Scrubs: Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare Scrubs (must be purchased from an approved supplier)
Nail Policy: Clean and healthy nails; no nail polish, artificial nails, or gel
Hair Policy: Neat and clean hair; extreme styles or colors are not permitted. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer.
Facial Hair: Must be cleanly trimmed.
Tattoos: Must be covered whenever possible.
Piercings: Only visible earrings are permitted; other visible piercings are prohibited.
Fragrance Policy: No perfumes or lotions.

Additional Information
Candidates may be required to float to the Newborn Nursery as needed. Attendance policies will be adhered to according to company-wide guidelines.
