Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Largo, FL, requiring at least 1 year of experience with critical care and ventilator management skills.
Details

• Respiratory Therapy department in a 286-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Night shift staffing consists of 4 therapists per shift
• Ventilator equipment includes Servo and 840 models
• Meditech EMR (experience preferred)
• May float to the facility's psych/rehab campus, which is treated as a float unit
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage required in rotation with hospital employees

Requirements

RRT credential required; must be actively licensed and certified
ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months
Critical care skills and ventilator management experience required
Strong patient assessment skills required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
License required if applicable
Additional Information

Performs nebulizer treatments, ABG draws from A-lines and by stick, and assists with intubations, CODE responses, and rapid responses
Gray scrubs required for Respiratory Therapy staff
Parking is available in the facility garage on the third and fourth floors
