Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Behavioral Health inpatient unit.
The position requires experience with adults and geriatrics facing various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Candidates should have skills in medication administration, including antipsychotics, antidepressants, and sedatives.
The nurse will be expected to implement seclusion protocols and manage voluntary/involuntary commitments.
The role also involves crisis intervention and the ability to recognize and manage self-injurious and suicidal behaviors.
Candidates should be comfortable floating within the unit and performing tasks in a med-surg setting as needed.
Our team consists of psych techs responsible for vital signs and patient monitoring and support roles for de-escalation.
Virtual clinical nursing support is available 24/7.
You will join a therapy team that conducts groups seven days a week.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:7.
Preference is given to those experienced in managing developmental disorders or profound impulse control issues.
All required skills must be documented.
